Can you hail me a cab?

Yummmm......

Just finished a nice meal at Montreal's Moishes Steak House. As we walked down the stairs onto the street we were greeted by a street bum, soaking wet from the falling rain. Hat in hand begging for money, Mark tosses him a dollar. I frown, don't you encourage him...

I step out into the street to hail a cab. Two pass by without stopping. The light turns red. I step back to take cover from the falling rain. The bum is still there hat in hand. "Can you spare some change?"

Go away!!!

From my porch protected from the rain, I scout the street for cabs, when I notice the bum standing on the road in the rain, hat in hand, the other raising his cane in the air.

Can you belive this?

Cab pulls to the side of the road. Rushing towards the cab, I reach into my pocket and toss the bum a couple of dollars. Kuntal does the same.

Now that's service!!!

Oh, the meal at Moishe's... I had the Rib steak. It was good and done to perfection (well almost, slightly burnt). Mark ordered a side of potato latkas. They were tough - not good. Mark sent them back to the kitchen. The second time around, they were a little better but still not upto our expectation. Back they went, this time for good.

Pickles and Slaw were exceptional.
